In order to get hemp flour, we remove the oil content from the whole seeds. This is done by oil pressing which is a cold process.

Using Hemp Flour

Hemp flour is perfect for baking, because of the nice taste, proteins and fibre content of the hemp seed. Hempflour doesn't rise so it can't be used to bake bread on it's own. It needs to bee mixed with some other kind of flour. In baking recipes we recommend 1/3 of hemp flour to 2/3 of regular flour. Besides baking hemp flour is also used to brew beer.

Allergens and quality

Hemp flour is naturally gluten-free. This makes hemp flour a versitile and flavourful flour alternative for vegetarians, vegans and people with gluten intolerance. Hempflour is 100% natural and non-GMO. Because of the cold and mechanical process hemp flour is raw. Hemp flour is available in organic and conventional quality. Our hemp flour is certified as Kosher.

The hemp flour is produced in our own factory in The Netherlands. The raw material is sourced from different countries such as: Canada, France, Ukraine, Romania and China.
